這是上個月初發生的事,班上有位調皮的同學一直吵,兒子的班導師生氣丟筆警告那小朋友,結果丟到豬頭的阿呆兒。豬頭想了一陣子,覺得還是應該寫封信去關心一下。
Dear Mr. 威特摩爾
I am writing this letter to express our understanding for the accidental situation that Jacques was mistakenly hit by the pen you threw at a student who was unstoppingly annoying during the course. As a teacher as well I could fully understand how hard you need to manage the teaching environment and surely be able to imagine that you must feel upset for such result. This letter is to support your hard-working with care and energy in teaching, though I personally do not encourage this behavior.
We had discussed the situation with Jacques, and surprisingly (and happily) awared that Jacques has learned how to handle his feeling regarding this accident and remains his high interest in school life. I understand you have worked very hard; all of teachers including you and me attempt to teach different kinds of knowledge to those kids which wishfully create an even better future for them than we had, as for the duties of being a teacher. (I also understand oftentimes we need to follow the education administration, hopefully not in a bureaucrat system.) Yet, the important point for this whole accident is not the person whom was warned (either the mischievous student or other innocent kids in the classroom; in fact it is ALL of the students) but the behavior itself and its affect on students’ enthusiasm in course-learning. We both understand how important it is to encourage students’ enthusiasm for learning, and how hard that we need to manage our anger while facing annoying students. This letter simply is to express our support and please do not have any negative feeling – you have done very well. We really appreciate your endeavor in teaching. Thank you!
Sincerely yours,
豬頭爸
